If you want to get to know the center of the town of Sant Julià de Lòria, it is worth following the itinerary of the Ronda Laurediana that takes you to see the most outstanding architectural elements of this town from the 12th century to the present day.

The curious origin of this name (Ronda Laurediana) is due to the fact that the town of Sant Julià de Lòria is also known by the name of Laurèdia.

We suggest you discover the mosaics of liturgical art, full of light and color, made by the Jesuit priest, theologian, writer and artist of religious art, the Slovenian Marco Ivan Rupnik, called the "Michelangelo of the 21st century".

The mosaics occupy the entire presbytery, in the background with the figures of the Virgin, Saint John the Baptist, Saint Peter and Saint Paul, Saint Julian and Saint Germán, all of them coming together towards the center, with the great majestic Christ, and on the sides, the birth of Jesus and the descent into hell of Jesus.

It is also worth noting the baptistery and the new chapel of the Virgin of Canòlic. It is not decorative art, it is liturgical and catechetical art and language.

We also suggest that you follow this route that allows you to discover the old town of Auvinyà, a reproduction of a small medieval town, passes through the Juberri garden and reaches the hermitage of Sant Cristòfol and the Gendret house, where red fruits and tasty jams and jellies are made.

Of course, it is worth going up to Coll de la Plana to contemplate the impressive views over the area and finish the route in the old Aixirivall, where the church of Sant Pere and the old school from 1887 are located.
